My US '98 Base

My 1998 Prelude BB6 (USDM)

This is my very first Prelude and am having the time of my life with her. She's a BB6, H22A4 with an automatic that is operating flawlessly at least for the time being (knock on wood). If it does ever fail, I will be performing the manual swap.
I have had her just a few weeks and is essentially stock with 180,000 miles. The drive train appears to be very solid, haven't found anything out of sorts yet. The interior is in amazingly good condition given the year. The paint seems to be her only real issue right now with extensive fading and heat damaged clear coat.
To date I've only changed out the sound system head unit and performed the bypass of the Acoustic Feedback System. I will have to replace the door speakers and probably will follow suit with the 6x9's in the rear.

Here's a few shots of her ... not great photography, but we have had nothing but horrible weather since I got her.

Great condition for a car with 180K. I know in the US that is average mileage but here in the UK not many cars ever reach that many miles.

Thank you Sven ... Now that I'm retired, it really has become the one thing I can immerse myself into like I used to when I was young. (one hell of a long time ago)

Hi Merlin ... I would be very curious as to why that would be. Proximity to ocean salts, limited open highways? I had an '84 Accord that I put over 400,000 miles on and it was still running like a sewing machine when I sold it. Buying a used Honda here with 150 or 200K miles is really no big thing.

Hey Mercutio ... Here where I live in the western US it is so dry that we have cars abandoned since the 1920's, on farms and in the desert, that the metal is in perfect condition. I have a 1982 Honda Interstate that looks showroom fresh and it's completely stock. Of course, it can get hotter than snot here too.
