Jay's Lude

Post by JayJay » Sat Sep 18, 2010 12:47 am

The only picture of her I have at the moment!

Image

1995 JDM 2.2 VTEC manual with LSD. Just did the calculations and shes running at about 140,000 miles

At the moment:
- Tein Basic suspension
- Tanabe front upper strut brace
- Tanabe rear upper strut brace
- Energy suspension bushings (should be all, going to get the garage to check if any are missing)
- CarPC
- Exedy OEM clutch
- Fidanza 8lb flywheel
- Forbidden Motorsports short shifter
- Skunk2 gear knob
- Stock exhaust with de-cat
- VTEC light Mk. 2 (clicky)
- full leather interior (good condition, needs a little bit of TLC on the bolsters)
- Aeromagic front lip (needs a bit of work :( )

In need of a bit of work, steering/suspension needs a check, need new radiator hoses (system needs a good clean! Lots of gunk appearing in the expansion tank). General tidying as well.

And don't even mention the rear arch rust

lol Yeah bud it's been horrible :( Going to give the car a wash at lunchtime today, salt etc on the roads now.

Given up on the camber kit until I know I need it, getting the knocking upper control arm replaced on Friday then aligned again (and I'm going to watch them this time, make sure the caster is sorted!).

Might also get my 17s balanced, missing the grip good tyres give you

Turns out the passenger side front lower control arm was HORRIBLY bent  And the bushing is destroyed. Kept the stock OEM one on that came with the new control arm (cheers Bri!) and they swapped over the poly damper fork bushing.

So, need to order a new poly bush for the lower control arm/frame point. $45 alone for the bushing here or I can just get a new set for $43 here and try and sell on the other odd parts

Shes just gone in to get the steering aligned, I think the garage in Douglas was aligining it with the bent control arm, so now its straight the steerings way out! Can't wait, felt mcuh better as it was with just a straight control arm!

*edit* And before Kawa says anything, my girlfriends sister broke the camera, hence no pictures :P

Steering feels better, still wonky though  Might be finishing work early today so I'll see if the garage can fit me in for a full 4WS alignment this afternoon. If I do make it in I need to stop by the Honda garage and pick up the new PCV valve they got for me.

Also, battery died when I got back to the car after she was sitting for only 5 days at the airport :( £71 call out charge to jump the battery then £120 for a new battery!

After I refitted all the suspension after fitting new bushes, felt like I was driving a bowl of jelly

Much better after a front wheel alignment :D

Back luck with the battery dude
