The U2Q7 has the same ratios and FD as the Prelude M2P4 gear box and both have a shorter FD than compared to all other UK Prelude gearboxes (4.266 Vs the usual 4.062). I know what you mean about needing a 6th gear, I have a 99+ lude with the M2P4.

What's the m2b4 box then mate I have one sitting in my garage. I bought it of my mate for £80 and there's nothing wrong with it. my box has the common 5th crunch doesn't do it if I double clutch tho lol

The M2B4 is a JDM 4th gen gear box with a viscous LSD (the ATR U2Q7 has a much better torsen style LSD). The U2Q7 has the same 4.266 final drive as the M2B4 but has a longer 1st, shorter 2nd & 3rd, same 4th, and a shorter 5th.

If it were me I would get the U2Q7 fixed rather then going with the M2B4. When I had my gearbox built for my track 4th gen I used a gearbox specialists in Falkirk, A. J. Kane, who were very good and not that expensive:

Nice car mate, I've had two of these but neither had a H22. The seats kinda let them down so well played with the type R buckets.

Nice car, I've just started doing the same build. Do you know what drive shaft and engine mounts were used?
PAW rebuilt 98 prelude 228bhp & 171lb/ft R.I.P.
PAW rebuilt 01 ATR 238bhp & 164lb/ft sold
Monte Carlo Blue 02 S2K :D
