A new member of my car family a Tesla Model 3 Performance, my first ever new car. I got it a couple of months ago. I still have the Elgrand and both my Preludes, the 4th gen will be coming out of storage soon to get ready for next seasons competition while the 5th gen is going into long term storage to be refurbished once I have more parking space.
She's standard except for the usual extra floor mats and boot liner, but I did fit a fake carbon fibre kit on the centre console as the black plastic scratches up easily.

It's not a bad looking car
I guess we will all have to drive an electric car eventually, and if I had to have one now, this would probably be my choice.

Lovely. Really like these alot, however see then everywhere. Didn't 5000 come into the UK during Covid lockdown alone.
Tesla however are a huge pain in the ass, all allooominum panels and can't be repaired easily and they won't release the information on how to disconnect the high voltage battery legally for we can work on them, that doesn't stop us but the want everything sorted in house.
Any plan for it? Exhaust intake?

I watched a series of videos where someone turned theirs into a pick up/ute type thing. I can see if I can find it if that interests you (not saying do it to yours )

Great to hear from you, Merlin
And great choice of car - Tesla Model 3 and S's are fab (I'd prefer a Model S, but the 3 is probably the better choice).
Looking forward to seeing the 4g coming out of hibernation
Ratty, if you want to learn about how to work on Tesla's, check out RichRebuilds on YouTube

I also follow this guy. Great fountain of knowledge. And he's not long opened a shop (in the states) too...Electrified Garage for anyone who's interested.
Also, the Model 3 ute thing build ended up being called Truckla. RichRebuilds also collaborated for that.

However legally speaker we can't work on them even if we know how, not covered by insurance if something goes wrong. They simple won't release the info to thatcham.wurlycorner wrote: ↑Wed Jul 29, 2020 10:05 pm
