And here we have it:
The top relay is the one you have already.
You will then need one of these (middle relay):

Good work dude!
(only a little one)
I was thinking of wiring in an ignition kill switch, or possibly something cool like a pin pad. You have any idea where I would be able to find the latter?

Not seen anything pinpad like, no.A1ex wrote:I was thinking of wiring in an ignition kill switch, or possibly something cool like a pin pad. You have any idea where I would be able to find the latter?
My dad is currently working on a microcontroller for me so all I need is the push button, much like today modern keyless cars. I will however still have the ignition barrel (for security) so still need to turn key to position 2, but this is more for proof of concept!
I will also have 3 or 4 switches dotted around the dashboard that need to be in a certain position to start the car

Depends.A1ex wrote:Would a relay be needed for a kill switch or could it just be put inline?
If using one the the big red "racing" kill switches then that is just put inline as they're designed to carry 100A plus.
If just using one (or more) toggle switches then yes a relay would be required, as in diagram above.
