ULEZ Compliance?

Having spotted a few Preludes on Auto Trader that claimed to be ULEZ compliant (none to refer to right now, unfortunately), I'm curious what's possible and whether anyone here has attempted to go through the process of updating their documentation?

My understanding is that, provided a petrol vehicle meets to Euro 4 emission standard at a TfL-approved testing centre, it can be recorded as ULEZ compliant even if manufactured prior to the rules introduction and thus be exempt from the charge. Do please correct me if I'm wrong!

I was under the impression that all Preludes are not ULEZ compliant

Is there an age cut off? In Edinburgh, cars of 30 years or older are exempt.

Yeah, that's what I thought until I spotted an ad like this: http://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details ... obcid=soc3

Maybe it's just the 2.0l engines that are exempt?

The age of a car to be ULEZ is 40 years rolling, which aligns to the Road Duty exemption.

I'd be surprised if you could get a prelude to pass the euro 4 compliance test, or have it registered as such.

I wouldn't trust some random autotrader advert, though it says ULEZ with no mention that it is exempt.

That car specifically, if you check it on the ULEZ site says that it is liable for the ULEZ charge.
