I need my memory refreshed. I will be replacing the clutch in my 5th gen soon, as I will be swapping gearboxes over. Am I correct in remembering that I can use any H22 clutch from the 4th gen, 5th gen and Accord Type-R?

I was led to believe that the clutch friction discs are the same, but the cover on the Accord type R had a stiffer spring/clamping affect. How true that is I don't know. I've ordered a blueprint accord type R clutch and its in the garage awaiting fitment if we need any measurements.

I seem to recall PAW fitted an ATR clutch kit to my h22a8 (which whilst has an ATR diff in it, the rest of the box (housing/inputshaft etc) is all standard h22a8 setup). So ATR will fit on that basis alone.

There are some slight differences that I couldn't remember. but now I have done some digging I'm probably going to go for the ATR/Euro R clutch as it has a larger diameter disc. Probably the Exedy kit.

Looking back at my old 5th gen's profile, turns out I have an ATR clutch in there too.
