Engine mounts

Post by nitin_s1 » Sun Aug 08, 2010 11:16 am

I think I may need some new engine mounts. :x When I accelerate and then let go of the accelerator the car shakes for as if the engine is shaking about in the bay. :? And when I was doing the oil change, after we finished I give the engine some revs and saw that the engine shakes alot.

Do I need new mounts?!

the engine will shake a little as it is sitting there is rubber mounts. it should not however be shaking the car when you're coming off the gas. have a look at the mounts as close as yo can to see if they are deteriorated or broken. It's worth while getting new ones anyway if the car is over ten years old and has a crap mount design :P
