ABS Mystery?

Post by Stoney » Sun Jul 17, 2016 2:07 pm

Right, i'm fairly sure I had/have ABS on my BB4. I mean it does have the correct hubs and sensors. However having not really driven it for 5years or so and following some investigation into the fuse board for an unrelated fault i'm not too sure! (any abs related fuses are missing)

Forgive my ignorance but I had sort of assumed that the BB4 with LSD also came with abs as standard. Thinking outside the box here, would it be possible that the fuses were removed due to a faulty ABS unit and whilst I still have the hardware on the wheels the actual system is FUBAR?

Have you got an ABS modulator in the engine bay?

Also does the ABS light come up on your dash when you turn the key, then go out once the ignition is on?

ABS would have been an option on your BB4, so it might have it, might not.
As jj says, does it have the modulator/pump/motor module? This sits on the passenger side of the engine bay, right at the back on the fire wall. Wacking great thing with a fluid reservoir on the top.
