Ive done both bud. But I completely removed everything. Just removing the abs ecu wont have an affect on braking. But it will throw the 4ws light on as the systems are interconnected. You will need a non ABS Prelude compensator to remove the pump. And will then need to make new pipes to suit.
There is a fair whack of weight in the ABS and 4WS systems combined ;) Good luck :)
