Rear view camera wireing

Post by Stoney » Sun Jul 10, 2016 12:39 pm

I feel like I kinda know the answer to this but here goes nothing.

I'm wiring in a rear view camera for my 4th gen as I have a habit of forgetting how big its arse is. Is there a 12v constant in the boot of the car or am I going to be running a cable up to the dash for this?

I know I could take a feed off the reverse light to power it, but then it will only switch on in reverse, which is not ideal as I'm intending to remove the internal mirror!

There should be a +12v feed in the boot where the courtesy light is, just off the top of my head.

*edit

It's not switched though so probably not suitable.

Your right on both fronts ;) Long wire to the dash it is, no biggy as I have to run the video feed anyway.
