To clarify - that's In Car Entertainment - not frozen water

OEM looking Headunit

Post by nitin_s1 » Mon Sep 18, 2017 8:46 pm

I wanted to keep the interior looking as OEM as possible but now need an upgrade. :?

I currently have OEM Cassette player and if I wanted to listen to my music off my iPhone then I have to use this old school cassette-to-aux input. 8-)

So now thinking of getting something aftermarket but also want it looking close to OEM as possible. It needs to have an AUX or bluetooth capabilities.

Just saw his thread, he has a double din. I want a single din unit.

Yea double din. Do have the a single din that would suit you tho. I'll dig it out if you like?

That's a tricky one. So many units look garish, imo.

Looks to be several discrete looking single din units when browsing, http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk.

Had no idea they still did some proper high end single din units,

Respect the OEM, would you consider a double din unit? I know not OEM, but I do like the sat nav, (most of the time), and happy it doesn't look out of place within the cabin.

Ohh just a thought, can't recall from your profile if you're using seperate amplification?
If not I'd recommend a unit with pre-outs for future uprade potential.

Was in the bb1, main reason for buying was due to being able to select your own colour for the display, I wanted it to match the el dial green perfectly

Can do the same with the clocks in the 5th gen ;)

Has your ipod/iphone connection as well via the cable, can use the stereo to skip songs etc
