I though the point was only to do this if you are thermally isolating the intake manifold with one of the fancy thermal gaskets, like the one Hondata does. I've read about several people doing this along with the IACV/FITV blanking and said their intake manifolds were only lukewarm after a long drive whereas with the stock setup it is hot to the touch.Vtecmec wrote:You know, I think that is a fallacy with respect to the IACV, the coolant lines go to the IACV to keep it cool and increase its lifespan (it does not use the coolant for its operation) drawing heat from this will ultimately draw heat from the IM, therefore removing it will actually increase the temp of the IM.
